story

so i decided i should tell you guys how i came to name this blog, and the reason behind it. as many of you may know, i have been interested in aircraft since i was pretty young.the more i learned, the more interested i became, and i started thinking about becoming a pilot. One day i was think ing about this, and realized that maybe it wasn't just me wanting to be a pilot, but maybe God was calling me to an area in life where i could affect people positively for him, and make a difference in the world. the more i thought about it, the more i began to feel that this was indeed my life calling, and so i started praying to ask God to direct me into aviation if that's what he wanted me to do.i feel that miracles and signs are not just a thing of the past, so i asked God to prove Himself in a very real way to me. i prayed that, if over the course of the summer i saved more than a thousand dollars (more than i'd ever made before by a long shot) that i would know that He wanted me to pursue aviation, and would use that money to take flight lessons.well, at the end of the summer i had saved eleven hundred dollars! the Lord had shown his will.i was pretty excited about this, although that may seem a little weird, and started looking into receiving flight instruction. i have been taking lessons now for a little over a year, and i am about half way, hour wise,to getting my private pilot license. God has continued to provide the money for me to take lessons, and i have never had to stop from lack of funds.so, that is how this blog got it's name, because i am called to the aviation ministry, and also because i really enjoy flying, something i think God put in my heart.so just remember, you don't have to be a preacher to be called into the ministry.God needs people in every area of life and business.And it may just be something you already enjoy!

wow.so i just realized how long it's been since i posted anything.bad of me right?anyway, i've got some pics i need to put up here,which i will hopefully get to soon. maybe next week after we finish the open house. you should come to that. Landmark Baptist is having an open house this sunday,starting at 10 a.m. (10:30 service time) and my guys quartet is singing, so you know there'll be good music.lol. anyway we're having a big chili cook-off afterwards, and it promises to stimulate your taste buds.there are some wickedly good chili cooks out there.lol.so anyway, stop by and get some good preaching, good singin', and good food.see,you win all around.
